A statement signed by co-founders Debbie Harry and Chris Stein referred to Burke as "the heartbeat of Blondie." Burke drummed for Eurythmics, the Ramones, Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Slinky Vagabond and the Go-Go's in his decades-long career.
