In the 90s, my boss asked me to take care of his cats for him for a few days while he was out of town. I love cats, so looked forward to it. However, one of his cats was more demon than cat, and he kept her harnessed and tied up so she wouldn't kill the other cat.

When I showed up, the demon cat was badly tangled. I tried untangling her, and she came at me with fangs and four razor-tipped limbs screaming like something out of a horror movie. I was finally able to disentangle her by wrapping a pair of jeans around my arms, but still got hella perforated.

I repeated this process every single day that my boss was gone, even though I was genuinely terrified of his evil cat from hell. The other cat was a sweety.

When my boss got home from his trip, he started screaming at me for intentionally tangling up his cat so she couldn't get food or reach the litter box. He refused to believe me when I showed all the wounds his hellspawn inflicted upon me.

I told him he'd have to find someone else in the future, because I would not endanger myself like that again. I also told him that leaving a cat tied up was not safe for the cat and that it's a wonder she hadn't strangled herself yet. He said I was exaggerating when I called her an extremely dangerous animal. And yet he was the one who thought she might murder his other cat.

FM-2 Wildcat, Eastern Aircraft Division of General Motors. This is an aircraft that should have become obsolescent during the war, with its magnificent replacement the F6F Hellcat taking its place with the USN fleet carriers; but the need for handy fighters which could operate from 'jeep' carriers in the Pacific, or off escort carrier decks in the Atlantic meant that General Motors turned out thousands of the FM-1 and the more powerful FM-2 version at the behest of Grumman. Capable of taking on a Zero, or attacking a U-Boat with 6 x 5" underwing rockets, the FM-2 was still useful at war's end. This example is taking off from Barnes Regional Airport, Massachusetts. #USA #USN #RN #Grumman #WW2 #Pacific #Atlantic #Zero #Hellcat #BarnesRegionalAirport #Massachusetts #avgeek #escortcarrier #aircraftcarrier #fleetcarrier #jeepcarrier #FM2 #FM1 #GeneralMotors #EasternAircraftDivision #UBoat #underwingrockets #photography #history #warfare #navalwarfare
